Former Deputy Police Chief Surachate Hakparn Dismissed

Date:

Disgraced former deputy national police chief, Pol Gen Surachate Hakparn, has been officially dismissed from the police force without a pension. The order was signed on March 11, 2025, by national police chief Pol Gen Kitrat Phanphet, according to a police source.

Surachate faces allegations of involvement in the MBK online gambling network, along with several close aides. His dismissal comes amid an ongoing investigation into the case.

He retains the right to appeal the decision to the Police Merit System Protection Committee. If the committee upholds the dismissal, he may take the case to the Supreme Administrative Court for further review.

The decision follows months of scrutiny, with authorities looking into potential misconduct linked to online gambling operations. Officials and law enforcement representatives were present as the order was confirmed.
