OIC Prachuap Khiri Khan raises awareness on mandatory car insurance and 100% helmet campaign

Sathien Charoenruen, Governor of Prachuap Khiri Khan province presided over the opening of the activities for the campaign on Mandatory Motor Insurance (Act) and safe driving by wearing a 100% helmet. Ms. Chantima Meeso, Regional Director of the Office of Insurance Commission, heads of government agencies, students and related government agencies attended the opening ceremony.

 The Office of Insurance Commission (OIC) in collaboration with the Prachuap Khiri Khan Provincial Insurance Club organized campaign activities for the Mandatory Motor Insurance (Act) and educated on the 100% mandatory helmet policy on the road in response to government policies. The goal was to reduce the rate of injuries and deaths caused by non-use of motorcycle helmets. To reduce the severity of head injuries in traffic accidents among motorcyclists. It also encourages the people of Prachuap Khiri Khan province to realize the importance of mandatory car insurance under the B.E. Car Accident Protection Act. 

 As part of this activity, the Office of Insurance Commission (OIC) of Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, in cooperation with the Prachuap Khiri Khan Province Insurance Club, donated 150 helmets to students to help them reduce the burden of expenses. Due to the relatively high price of helmets in the market, in the hope of raising awareness of motorcycle safety in Prachuap Khiri Khan province.
