On July 18, in the conference room of Nasan Municipality, Mr. Witchawut Jinto, Governor of Surat Thani Province, was the chairman of the meeting of the 30th Nansan School Rambutan Festival, in cooperation with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Surat Thani Office, Ban Na San District and Na San Municipality. This event is scheduled from August 9 to 20, 2022 in the Chawang Canal area.
The committee and the concerned parties have jointly planned the event. Mr. Kosol Suthangkun, Mayor of Na San, said that the opening ceremony will be held on August 11, 2022. Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Tourism and Sports, presided over the opening ceremony. A parade of botanical cars is planned. A Chinese dessert buffet is offered to participants. There are exhibitions from different departments. Stores selling various products, OTOP stores, more than 55 fruit stores, orchard competition, fruit basket competition and baslobe dance competition. Participants can scan the QR code “Amazing City of Rambutan” for information, news and activities to join the festival.
Mr. Witchawut Jinto, Governor of Surat Thani Province, said that this event will boost Surat Thani’s economy again. After the absence of events for 2 years, the income of the people of the province is currently ranked 5th in the country.
